Momentum integrates directly with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT via the SKY API. The following is a cursory view of the data mapping. We work closely with the RE NXT Product and Engineering teams and API Documentation to ensure data mapping is accurate.
Overview
The Raiser's Edge NXT integration enables seamless data exchange between the two systems, facilitating efficient donor management and communication. The integration is managed through Blackbaud's SKY API, which serves as the conduit for data extraction and synchronization between Raiser's Edge and Momentum.
The integration syncs and updates data between the two systems every five minutes.
Data Reading from RE NXT
Momentum pulls the following data from RE NXT to power our recommendations:
- Constituent
- Addresses
- Household (created on our side if constituent has a spouse)
- Actions
- Gifts (Appeals, Funds, Gift Custom Fields)
- Constituent Codes
- Salutation and Addressee
- Fundraiser Assignments
- Solicit Codes
- Opportunity
- Blackbaud Analytics Ratings (e.g. Prospect Insights, Research Point)
- Custom Fields
Record Edits and Deletions
Edits to records (Actions, Gifts, Constituents, etc.,) in RE NXT sync automatically to Momentum. For example, when an Action is edited in RE NXT, its modified date updates, and the next sync pulls the new version and overwrites the Momentum copy. This means the summary, description, date, category, and outcome will all update to match RE NXT.
Similarly, deletions of Constituents sync automatically, though it occurs only once weekly. If a constituent is deleted or archived in RE NXT, the constituent is removed from Momentum.
Deletions of Gift or Action records in RE NXT do not sync to Momentum. If an action or Gift, is deleted in RE NXT, it will still appear in Momentum.
Data Writing from Momentum
Momentum writes back Actions to RE NXT that are taken via Momentum recommendations, or logged via the Momentum Web App.
