The Outbox shows a complete history of actions you’ve taken in Momentum. It provides a single place to review past outreach, including emails, calls, and other completed touchpoints. This makes it easier to revisit previous communication, copy language, and understand recent donor engagement activity.
Overview
The Outbox displays a reverse chronological list of actions completed through Momentum. Scroll through the Outbox to locate recent donor interactions. This includes:
- Emails sent through Momentum
- Other Momentum-drafted touchpoints, like letters or call notes
- Individual cadence steps that have been implemented
- All other Momentum-logged donor engagements
The most recent activity appears at the top, making it easy to quickly find what you’ve done most recently.
Why Use the Outbox
While your CRM also stores activity history, the Outbox gives you a Momentum-specific view of your work. It is designed to help you:
- Quickly find past emails or outreach
- Review what you’ve recently completed
- Copy and reuse language from previous messages
- Track your activity without searching your CRM
This is especially helpful when preparing for follow-ups or continuing a conversation with a donor.
How the Outbox Relates to Your CRM
All actions completed in Momentum are also logged to your CRM. However, the Outbox shows only actions taken through Momentum. Your CRM contains many different types of activity, likely from many tools. The Outbox provides a clean, focused view of your donor engagements inside the platform.
Best Practices
- Use the Outbox to prepare for follow-ups: Before reaching out to a donor, quickly review your last interaction in the Outbox.
- Reuse what works: If you’ve written an effective message, reuse and adapt it instead of starting from scratch.
