You've been introduced to your Workspace properly—now it’s time to scale what’s working.
In your first week, you learned how to organize your donors, tailor your voice, and send personalized outreach. Now, you’ll start building structure around that work with tools that help you work faster, stay consistent, and keep your pipeline moving—without sacrificing that personal touch.
This week is about creating repeatable workflows, testing Workspace tools, and setting yourself up for long-term success.
Day 8-9: Build a Personal Workspace Foundation
Create a Few AI Templates
Head to Workspace > Templates and create reusable prompts for the types of messages you send most often.
Start with:
- “Thank you after a first gift”
- “Checking in before a donor meeting”
- “Event invite follow-up”
These templates will help you work faster—while still sounding like yourself.
Tip: Include guidance like tone (“Make it warm and grateful”) or key content (“Mention last year’s impact”).
Set Up a Cadence
Cadences help you automate a full donor journey—not just one email.
Try building a 2- or 3-step cadence for:
- First-time donor stewardship
- Major gift cultivation
- Event follow-up
Each step can be an email, call, or handwritten card. Add spacing between touchpoints and choose templates or prompts for each step.
Once it’s ready, you can apply this cadence to donors or segments as needed.
Day 10-11: Activate Prospecting
Choose a List or Segment to Work Through
Head to Workspace > Prospecting Enable a new workflow using a group like:
- “New Donors Q2”
- “Unassigned LYBUNTs”
- “Warm Gala Attendees”
Assign a Template or Cadence
Decide how you’ll approach this group—maybe a one-time thank-you or a short relationship-building cadence.
Set a Weekly Goal
Choose how many new prospects you want to take action on per week (e.g., 3–5). Momentum will feed them to your Inbox in manageable doses.
Prospecting is your slow-and-steady engine for keeping the pipeline warm.
Day 12-13: Turn on Automations
Review Default Automations
Start with these Momentum-recommended triggers:
- No Contact for X Days
- Follow-up if no reply
- Gift Received (thank-you rec)
- Birthday or Giving Anniversary
Customize by Segment
Tailor the timing and language for each automation based on the segment it's applied to (e.g., VIP donors vs. new givers).
Momentum will never send anything automatically—just surface smart, timely recommendations that you can act on.
Day 14: Check Reports
Visit the Reports Tab
Start with:
- Actions Report – See how much outreach you’ve completed
- Impact Report – See giving results tied to your outreach
- Portfolio Value – Track the total giving value of your assigned donors
These help you reflect on what’s working and spot any gaps early.
Wrap-Up: What You’ve Set Up
- Reusable outreach templates
- One or more cadences in motion
- Prospecting workflow feeding your pipeline weekly
- Automations surfacing timely recommendations
- Access to reports for impact and activity review
By the end of Week 2, you should feel:
- Confident in your weekly rhythm
- Comfortable trusting the AI to draft, while you stay in control
- Equipped with tools to stay proactive, not reactive
- Supported—but not dependent—on live help
From Here On Out
You’ve got what you need to run your own show. From here, it’s about:
- Making small improvements to your workflows over time
- Reviewing reports monthly
- Checking in with your CSM as needed
- Getting support when things feel unclear or off
Momentum isn’t just a platform—it’s your co-pilot for sustainable, focused fundraising.
