When drafting new communication, Momentum automatically combines your prompt with up-to-date donor data already in the record, including giving history, donor details, previous interactions, and more. The AI writer pulls this information from a fixed list of fields. This article covers what information is available to the AI writer when drafting communication.

Available Fields
The AI writer draws on this same fixed field list when drafting Actions and AI Templates in Momentum. This list is not configurable. While some organizations choose to do custom mapping to surface CRM fields in the Momentum UI, this does not change what is available to the AI writer.
Donor Information and Interactions

Note: These fields are referenced in the AI writer for both direct Gifts and soft-credit, or passthrough, Gifts. However, the AI writer does not have visibility into the relationship between the originating donor and the soft-credit giver. So, it cannot reference the other donor’s information in the acknowledgement.

Prompts
The AI writer uses these fields to build a draft for your Actions or Templates, but it needs your prompting, or instructions, to begin working. It uses the outreach type (Email, Letter, or Phone Call script), today’s date, and any instructions given to create the draft.
