Using your criteria and Momentum’s proprietary Giving Score, Hidden Gems ranks unassigned constituents by their likelihood to give at higher levels, helping you focus on the right relationships and steadily grow your pipeline.
How It Works
1. Submit Your Query
You define what you’re looking for in a Hidden Gem:
- What counts as a major gift for your org
- What types of giving history to prioritize
- Any exclusions (e.g., assigned donors or board members)
Use this short form to submit your filters.
2. We Run the Analysis
Momentum analyzes your CRM’s engagement data, such as:
- Newsletter opens and email clicks
- Event attendance and form fills
- Giving history, recency, and growth patterns
- Outreach responses and general activity
This version does not use wealth screening—it’s all based on internal behaviors that show potential for deeper connection.
3. Giving Score Ranks Your Gems
We use our Giving Score algorithm to rank the donors in your pool based on:
- Past giving trends
- Engagement signals
- Donor activity patterns
You’ll receive a prioritized list—typically the top 100–500 donors from the filtered group.
4. Use Your Results
You can:
- Add Hidden Gems to a Segment or List
- Feed them into Prospecting for steady , streamlined outreach
- Assign to fundraisers or gift officers for follow-up
- Use Cadences or templates to reach out intentionally over time
What Makes Someone a Hidden Gem?
- They’re unassigned (not currently in a portfolio)
- They’ve engaged recently or meaningfully
- They show giving potential based on your org’s criteria
- They may be newer donors, lapsed supporters, or quietly consistent givers
